TOO MAD to continue today
UPDATE: I spoke with Schwab midday (after 40+ min on hold). He said they have a known issue with latency (to put it mildly) in options trades around the open. Well, YES! At least, some acknowledgement. He also said there is no known timeframe for resolution.

Churned all day for 1% on account
At 9:34 the profit bracket triggered, but the position still wasn't open in my account. Now I suspect that the initial buy order didn't go through properly

Huge day. Just 2 symbols
Beautiful huge day today, despite order execution problems on the open.

Friday losing day.
I had a lucky setup in SNAP to recover what I did.

Playing with data
Still playing with my trading data to see if I can notice any patterns, make any improvements. Tonight's experiments with 2021 to date data:
The histogram shows more clearly that I have high number of trades in the approximately +20% zone. In the scattergram, the points are overlapping such that it's impossible to tell the quantity.
However, knowing that there is a density around +20%, what both graphs bring to light is I have a lot of losing trades! And the losers are bigger than I think, even if I am overall profitable.
It seems like my losers are in bigger trades, more $2000 trades have losers than winners. Part of that, I think, is that I tend to scale out of winners, which is shown by smaller$ but bigger% trades.
YTD, I am 72% winning days, average daily gain 1.23%.
On first glance, it seems like I should make it a focus to reduce the size (if not the quantity) of my losers. How to do this? I like my stop technique, so I think I need better entries. Hm.. to ponder.
Big wins for MY 50th BIRTHDAY!

Skin of the teeth
I also learned that maybe I can start trading a little bigger. ...or maybe I should stay in my comfort zone.

Trying a new p/l technique
I think I'm pretty successful at getting my 20% p/l target most of the time.
"I think"?
Ya, no good data on this.
But it does seem like, on the trades that go well enough to get 20%, there is often even more there.
As long as I'm also manually trailing a stop for worst case, I'm trying also to set a t-stop on the tgt order. Instead of a limit order I'm trying:
If the bid goes to [+20%] sell on 0.05-.10 t-stop. So, maybe I'll start getting more than 20% on my first target?
I'm also considering, instead of 1/2 off at pl tgt, do 1/4 - 1/3 at 20% pl, then another notch at 30-50%, and then let it run on a manually trailed stop.
Today I mostly finessed it and I did pretty well on my gut. I actually LOVE how I traded today. Felt effortless. B"H!
Afternoon profits
scared!!
Wednesday - 6 days to recover
Today, 6 trading days later, I finally recovered from the huge loss I made last Monday. While it is encouraging to know I can recover, I don't want to be having losers that big. It is too destructive to lose all that ground.

The downs and the ups
I opened with 2 big losses this morning, on PLUG and the front part of DKNG. Then OSTK came along and saved the day massively.
Some market connectivity problems this morning, but mostly as I was finishing my trades, not on the open. Apparently affected Google, Zoom, etc. What's going on with this world? Do I need to be bracing for something? Hold more cash? Go withdraw actual cash in case electronic transactions stop working?
Annotating charts, a few hours later, my trading looks sloppy. I feel like part of it is slippage on my orders Time slippage? like I ordered at 9:31 but it's reported at 9:32? maybe I got a worse price fill, too? Can I correct that with limit orders? I feel like I'll just miss the boat. Because ultimately, I'm not trading with sensitivity to the penny. I just want in. I just want to get the meat of a move, and I feel like I can mostly do that with market orders. Am I leaving some on the table? Probably. Am I getting my piece? Yes.
